The Stone Mountain Antique Mall was founded in 2006 by Nan and Charles Nash.
The store was opened to expand the successful Civil War artifacts business, Stone Mountain Relics,
that they have succesfully run since 1978 along with their daughter, Lori Nash Cosgrove and former
partner, John Sexton. Stone Mountain Relics enjoys a reputation that has
spread as far as Germany and Austraila as well as doing research for the popular PBS series, the Antique Roadshow.
The Stone Mountain Antique Mall continues that tradtion of
quality antiques.

The building dates to 1960 and was the U.S. Post Office until it moved to the present
location on West Mountain Street. Next came the Old Post Office Country Buffet still fondly
remembered for its fried chicken, black eyed peas and turnip greens. Vacant for several years, the building has been
completely restored and now houses 30 antique dealers. Visitors will see vestiges of both the Post Office and the
buffet that have been preserved.
